Plan a post

A post is a caption, media, a channel and a date. Here is how to make one. Click Compose at the top right, or press C. The editor opens. Under Channels choose where the post goes, and set the date. The post shows in the calendar on that day. Write the caption. Under it you see how many characters the channel allows. Add pictures and videos under Media. Draftdeck saves as you type. When the post is ready, send it for review. Once it is approved, you schedule it. If its channel is connected to Instagram and Publish automatically is on (Beta, Premium), Draftdeck publishes it at its time. Otherwise Draftdeck reminds you on the day, and you post it yourself.

How your client reviews a post

With the client link your client sees the post as it will look in the network. They comment on passages, suggest wording and approve. Your client opens the link you made with Share. They need no account. The preview shows the post as it looks on each of its channels: videos play, and they can swipe through several pictures. They mark a passage in the caption and comment on exactly that, or suggest new wording. Your team accepts a suggestion with one click. If all is well, they choose Approve, otherwise Request changes. With client approval your team approves first, then it is the client's turn, and only their approval completes the post. Until then they can already comment. In the other approval modes your client's approval is a note for your team: the post shows “Client approved”, and you still approve it yourselves.

Invite people

You invite people with a personal link that works once. Open Settings › Team (Workspace in the sidebar). Only owners and admins can do this. Under Invite someone, pick a role and make the invite link. It works once and expires after two weeks. If you enter an email address, Draftdeck sends the invitation for you. Without one, you send the link yourself. An open invite holds a seat. Free has room for 3 people, Premium for up to 10. When the workspace is full, you see a notice instead of a link.

The stages of a post

Every post goes through fixed stages: Draft, In review, Changes requested, Approved, Scheduled, Published. A new post is a Draft. When it is ready, send it for review: it then shows under In review. Whoever may approve clicks Approve or Request changes. With Changes requested you rework the post and send it again. Approved means the content is final. Once it has a date, it is Scheduled. If the channel is connected to Instagram and Publish automatically is on in the post (Beta, Premium), Draftdeck publishes it at its time and marks it for you. Otherwise Draftdeck reminds you on the day: you post it yourself and mark it as published. On the board, published posts sit folded under Published. Approvers, admins, owners and clients can approve – clients always after the team. Writers and everyone above them can schedule and delete.

Free and Premium

The plan is per workspace, not per person. Free: calendar, board and drafts, 3 people, 20 new posts and 10 AI credits a month, 2 GB of storage. No client links, no Today list. Premium: client links, the Today list, unlimited posts, 500 AI credits a month, up to 10 people and 12 GB of storage. Premium costs €6.99 per workspace and month; 3 workspaces together cost €17.99 instead of €20.97. You pay by card or PayPal under Settings › Plan and can cancel any time. Premium then stays until the end of what you paid. Try Premium free for 7 days: at the end of the setup, or under Settings › Plan. You need no payment details. The trial is once per account and workspace. It ends by itself and the workspace goes on as Free; nothing is deleted. If you order during the trial, the days left are kept. Agencies need Premium for client approval, client links and the client role. A new agency workspace starts with the 7-day trial. Without Premium it stays open and nothing is deleted; a bar at the top then says “Agency workspace: Premium needed”. You can change the kind of team any time under Settings › Workspace. Have a promo code? Enter it where you order Premium, under Settings › Plan. Buttons for Premium features stay visible on Free and show what Premium adds.

Question 6

Paying and cancelling

You pay for Premium by card or PayPal and can cancel any time. It runs until the end of what you paid. Premium costs €6.99 per workspace and month. Under Settings › Plan you pick the workspaces, see the price and pay by card or PayPal. Premium starts at once. Under Settings › Plan › Manage you change the payment method and billing address and download invoices. Your profile › Subscriptions lists every subscription you pay for. Cancel there, or without signing in with Cancel contracts here at the bottom of every page. You get a confirmation by email. Premium stays until the end of the paid time. Until then you can take back a cancellation if you pay by card.
