AI help for captions
The AI suggests a new caption for you. Every workspace gets AI credits each month: a few on Free, a lot more on Premium.

In short
- Open a post and click Rewrite with AI in the caption. You can add a short instruction.
- Each AI request costs credits, depending on its kind. Dex at the bottom right shows how many are left. Questions Dex answers from the help cost nothing.
- Only the open post's brief, caption, channel and your instruction go to Mistral in the EU. Nothing about your team, no email addresses, nothing from the media library.
- Dex remembers what you tell it about you and your team. Under What Dex knows you see, change and delete these notes. Only you see your own; team notes are seen by the whole team (not by clients).
- When an owner or admin switches on Dex learns from your posts, Dex reads your posts and builds a brand profile: voice, audience, topics, hashtags, usual length. Fields you change by hand stay when it refreshes. Chats with Dex are deleted after 30 days.
Write with Dex from your media
- In a post: add photos or a video and click Write with Dex under the caption. Optionally say what it is about. Dex looks at the pictures (for a video a few stills, its length and whether it has sound), reads your settings under How Dex writes and, when Dex learns from your posts is on, similar earlier posts.
- When the goal is unclear, Dex asks a quick question, for example whether the post should invite people to a class or just show the moment. Pick an answer. Questions back cost nothing.
- Then you get 2–3 ready captions for each channel of the post, with different hooks and hashtags by the rules of each network. Use puts the text in; with several channels it goes into that channel's own text (Different text per channel is switched on). Use for all puts it on every channel. Undo brings back your previous text.
- Dex also suggests a title, alt texts for the pictures, a first comment (Instagram) and a time, based on when your team usually publishes. Each can be used on its own.
- In the media library: select one or more files (or open one) and click Create a post with Dex. Dex suggests drafts with the photos and videos already attached. Nothing is created until you click Create draft.
- PDFs: upload brochures, briefs, menus or slides as a PDF to the media library (up to 20 MB). They are never published and never attached to a post; they are material for Dex. The first page becomes the preview, and the text is read in your browser when you upload it. Dex writes posts or a carousel from it and keeps prices and dates exactly as they are in the PDF.
- Privacy: pictures, a PDF's first page and its text go to the AI service only when you ask Dex about them right then (with these buttons), or when Dex learns from your posts is on. Dex never listens to a video's sound.
- Cost: like one chat answer, charged only when Dex delivers. On your own AI account it uses no credits.
